The Pendle Forest Gisburn hilly time trial, otherwise known as ‘The Grimpur’ is part of the club’s annual evening league series. The start and signing on area are near Thornton-in-Craven ( BD23 3TJ ), the same as for the Skipton 10 course. The finish is just before Hamish’s Cafe on Gisburn Road (formerly the Moorcock pub).

Course Description
Start on the B6252 at the junction with the A56. Immediately turn left onto the A56, proceed northeast to roundabout (1.96 miles) and take the first exit onto the A59. Continue west to mini-roundabout (8.56 miles) in Gisburn. Go straight on and take the left turn (8.72 miles) onto the A682. Continue south on the A682 to the finish just before Hamish’s cafe (13.00 miles).
